After sharing the marquee with Lee Brice over a joint tour captured, Chris Young is plotting his personal headlining trek for fall. The I’m Comin’ Over tour, named following singer’s upcoming fifth studio album, starts October 22nd in Savannah, Georgia, hitting 14 cities before wrapping December 5th in Green Bay, Wisconsin. “She Don’t Love You” singer Eric Paslay and country newcomer/guitar-shredder Clare Dunn will open shows in each city.
The title track to I’m Comin’ Over is making one of many quickest ascents inside the country charts that Young has observed in a decade. It’s also on the list of sexiest songs of his repertoire, following lyrical suit with tunes like “Gettin’ You Home (The Black Dress Song)” and “You.”
I’m Comin’ Over
“We loved this song in the first day we wrote it, with Josh Hoge. We wrote almost all of the album together coupled with so much fun writing and creating,” the 30-year-old musician tells Rolling Stone Country. “It’s a wonderful sonic bridge involving the last record and what that one is going to appear to be, so we just crossed our fingers and selected it.”
Young procedes describe the LP, that they co-produced with Corey Crowder, being a “natural progression” from his last album, A.M. — mixing the regular country sound for that she’s known having a bit of new sonic territory. The project includes vocal collaborations with Vince Gill and Cassadee Pope.
Tickets for Young’s I’m Comin’ Over tour continue sale this Friday, August 14th at aeglive.com and ChrisYoungCountry.com.
